Jenna + Paul.
Jenna and Paul got married in front of Toftcombs Mansion near Biggar (ten minutes down the road from me). I sent them some questions about their day and here are their answers:
Can you give us a brief rundown of your wedding day?:
Our day was very personal, and pretty much all DIY! We hired our venue for a long weekend and they really did just hand over the keys and let us use it exactly the way we wanted to, to create our perfect day. We had our closest friends and family staying there with us, and we had the most relaxed, wonderful wedding. We got married outside on the lawn, then had drinks and a “box of baws” (canapes) for each person, street food vans did the catering (including crepe van for dessert!) for the main meal which was served in a marquee and finally a fab party in the evening.
What do you remember most about your wedding day?:
Walking down the aisle in the rain. Then the sun coming out and having all our pictures etc taken in beautiful sunshine. The amazing food, venue and just having a brilliant day with close family and friends.
Why did you choose your wedding venue?:
We chose a venue where we could have our day exactly the way we wanted it to be. There was no tie with caterers or any other service providers and we could really make it our own DIY wedding.
What made you decide to have your wedding filmed?:
We have a lot of friends and family who wouldn’t be there and we wanted to be able to share our special day with them. We also wanted to see all the little moments that we may have missed throughout the day and have something to keep and look back on in many years.
